ABABU remains the Field Marshal & RAILA the general

Whatever Hon. Ababu Namwamba is doing, is what most politicians lack. It’s called balls.

It’s unquestionable that he has been more ODM than most that make noise, unlike the others he is the only MP who dared to take an oath in Raila’s name as the president of this great republic of Kenya when there was election dispute in 2008, the hecklers wanted to be MPs first then dispute the election later.

After formation of the grand coalition government, many would have wondered why after such selflessness, Ababu wasn’t rewarded by a ministerial appointment by Baba, it only took him much later in September 2012 for him to be appointed minister for sports, this shows how calm and loyal he was to the General him being the Field Marshal.

I truly believe that Ababu represents a population that need to be heard and can no longer be ignored. We can no longer be dwarfed by the thinking of few and don’t want to be questioned. We have seen this with the latest being Kuria’s selection as Gatundu South MP and the shying away of TNA Governors from the pesa mashinani referendum. ODM should not be allowed to play politics the way TNA does where no one is allowed to question Uhuru, lest they be forced to isolation and being tainted the enemy of the tribe. After all the D in ODM stands for Democratic, practice democracy, unless the D lost meaning.

Losing Ababu would be tragic for ODM not only for their push for referendum but also the western politics, Raila need to trade carefully and shouldn’t listen to those hecklers that that insinuate that western is not important by kicking Ababu out.

I question why there is sudden fear of his leadership in the party yet he remains a humble servant? We cannot have a one tribe leadership in the party if at all the other tribes are needed. We can no longer be pointing finger at the government for their tribal appointments yet in the party you practice the same. Talk of pointing a spec in another person’s eye while you have a log in yours.

In summary Ababu remains the field marshal to his general Raila. Let the hecklers exercise their right; if they stop heckling we wouldn’t notice their presence.
